Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to join the Finance team in Parramatta. The role focuses on preparing and delivering consolidated financial reports across the Australian business, ensuring accuracy, compliance and process improvements within a large corporate environment.

The successful candidate will have CA/CPA qualifications (or nearing completion), a accounting degree and experience in financial reporting, with strong Excel and stakeholder

Qualifications

  • CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
  • Experience in financial reporting, group reporting, external audit, or a similar accounting role.
  • Experience in large corporate environment or within a Big 4/Mid-tier accounting firm will be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and financial reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual group financial reports and consolidations.
  • Assist with statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate reporting inputs from multiple business units and finance teams.
  • Maintain and improve consolidation and reporting systems and processes.
  • Assist with external and internal audit requirements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities as required.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with company policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Group Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team based in Parramatta.
Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, this is a key role responsible for supporting the preparation and delivery of consolidated financial reporting across the Australian business. You will work closely with finance teams and stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring reporting accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

About You
Experience & Qualifications
  • CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in financial reporting, group reporting, external audit, or a similar accounting role.
  • Experience working within a large corporate environment or within a Big 4/Mid-tier accounting firm will be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and financial reporting frameworks.
