Job summary

Blue Mountains City Council is seeking a casual/temporary Group Fitness Instructor based in Katoomba, NSW. The role involves planning and rehearsing group fitness classes so the program is delivered safely and enthusiastically.

You will offer a range of exercise options to meet different fitness levels within the class. Essential qualifications include Ausactive Registered Fitness Leader, Les Mills/aqua aerobics/freestyle training, and a current Resuscitation award plus Working with Children

Qualifications

• Essential requirement: Ausactive Registered Fitness Leader.
• Programmable group fitness training experience required including Les Mills, aqua aerobics or freestyle classes.
• Cert III in Fitness or equivalent certification required.
• Resuscitation award is required.
• Working with Children Check current.

Responsibilities

• Plan and rehearse group fitness classes to deliver safe, enthusiastic sessions.
• Provide a range of exercise options to meet varying fitness levels within the class.

The Group Fitness Instructor will plan and rehearse the group fitness class as required so that the program can be safely and enthusiastically delivered. A range of exercise options or levels to meet the needs of varying fitness levels within the class will be provided.

The following requirements are essential to be considered for the position:

• Ausactive Registered Fitness Leader
• Specialised group fitness program training such as Les Mills, aqua aerobics, Cert III in fitness, freestyle classes
• Resuscitation award
• Current Working with Children Check

Remuneration:

base salary commencing at $32.25 gross per hour
+ 12% superannuation
+ annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
+ annual award increase
