Downer in Sydney is seeking an entry-level Grounds Person to support maintenance and upkeep of grounds at Richmond RAAF Base and Defence sites, with opportunities to learn on-the-job.

You’ll join a team focused on safety, sustainability, and quality, handling basic grounds tasks and gaining hands-on training with mowers, trimmers, and related equipment.

This role offers permanent employment, on-site work across NSW locations, and a pathway to develop your career within a large Australian company.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current open Driver's Licence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and upkeep for site grounds and gardens.
• Identify and manage risks associated with grounds maintenance.
• Training on using equipment such as ride-on mowers and whipper snippers.
