Job summary

Petstock is seeking an experienced Groomer to deliver full grooming services, breed-specific styling, and outstanding customer care. Join a supportive team with ongoing training and advancement opportunities across multiple salons.

You'll maintain salon safety, manage bookings, and contribute to store performance while putting pet welfare first. Qualification in grooming preferred but not essential, with opportunities to grow into leadership roles within the Petstock network.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional dog grooming.
• Qualification in Grooming preferred, but not essential.
• Ability to create and embed strong safety practices throughout the salon and store.
• Good knowledge of specific breed clips, with a commitment to maintaining grooming styles and brand/product knowledge.
• Physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy animals as required.
• Demonstrated experience in handling and working with live animals.
• Maintain advanced understanding of zoonotic and skin diseases and how to identify them.
• Proven ability to exceed grooming KPIs through high-quality care, customer satisfaction, and strong team collaboration.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively engage with customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Providing full grooming services, including breed-specific styling.
• Delivering outstanding customer service and personalised grooming advice.
• Managing client bookings and building lasting customer relationships.
• Maintaining high salon presentation and safety standards.
• Supporting the Store Manager with salon operations.
• Helping achieve salon performance goals while always putting pet welfare first.
• Working collaboratively with the wider store team.
