Job summary

APCO North Geelong is seeking a Grocery Assistant for a permanent part-time role. The position involves stocking shelves, stock rotation, and maintaining tidy aisles to deliver a great customer experience. You'll work on a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, in a dynamic supermarket environment.

You should be physically fit, reliable and able to work independently as part of a friendly team. Prior grocery or retail experience is welcome but not essential.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on, physically active position where you'll play an important part in keeping our supermarket stocked, organised and looking its best.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Receiving, unloading and putting away grocery deliveries
• Replenishing shelves and ensuring products are presented neatly
• Rotating stock and checking product expiry dates
• Maintaining clean, tidy and organised grocery aisles and storage areas
• Assisting with promotional displays and stock changes
• Supporting the wider store team to ensure a great customer experience

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Is physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting, bending and moving stock
• Has a strong work ethic and a positive, can‑do attitude
• Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work
• Enjoys working in a fast‑paced, team environment
• Has previous grocery, supermarket or retail experience (highly regarded but not essential)
• Is flexible and available to work across a 7‑day rotating roster, including weekends
