Job summary

Grace Group in Hobart is seeking a Driver/Removalist to join our removals team. You will travel to varied locations, often working unsupervised, and will be involved in packing, loading, paperwork, and customer communication. We provide training and pathways for licence upgrades and career progression within Grace Group.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, reliable, physically fit and eager to learn. Above award rates with overtime, uniforms, mentoring and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Heavy goods driving licence – MR minimum.
• Customer-focused with a can-do attitude.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and team-oriented.
• Physically fit; lifting and manual handling required.

Responsibilities

• Careful packing and unpacking of customer effects.
• Loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Read and complete required paperwork, sometimes on a tablet.
• Communicate with customers during uplift and delivery.
• Help maintain clean and tidy vehicles, equipment and warehouse.

About The Role

As a member of the Grace Removals team, we are looking for an outgoing and customer focused Driver/Removalist to take on a varied role that requires you to be out and about in a different location each day, largely working unsupervised, where no two days are the same.

The duties will include:

• Careful packing and unpacking of customer effects
• Loading and unloading of vehicles
• Read and complete paperwork required, sometimes using a tablet
• Communicate regularly with the customer during uplift & delivery
• Helping maintain clean and tidy vehicles, equipment and warehouse

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• A heavy goods driving licence – MR minimum
• A friendly, helpful, honest, and customer first focussed can-do attitude
• Be eager to learn, proactive and embrace change with a high level of professionalism
• Be reliable, hard-working and there for your team mates
• Care about your personal appearance and have a helpful friendly manner
