Job summary

Grace Removals in Rockhampton is seeking a Driver/Removalist to join a dynamic team. You will be out and about daily, largely unsupervised, packing and unloading, with a focus on safe handling of customer effects and clear customer communication.

The role offers an above-award hourly rate, potential overtime, and training to upgrade licences (HR/HC/Forklift). A supportive team and career path opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must have MR or higher heavy goods vehicle license.
• Friendly, helpful, customer-first attitude and reliability.
• Willing to learn, proactive and professional in changing conditions.
• Physically fit; lifting and manual handling may be required.
• If you have a licence but no experience, training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Careful packing and unpacking of customer effects.

• Read and complete paperwork; tablet use may be required.
• Communicate regularly with customers during uplift and delivery.
• Help maintain clean vehicles, equipment and warehouse.

About The Role

As a member of the Grace Removals team, we are looking for an outgoing and customer focused Driver/Removalist to take on a varied role that requires you to be out and about in a different location each day, largely working unsupervised, where no two days are the same.

The duties will include:

• Careful packing and unpacking of customer effects
• Loading and unloading of vehicles
• Read and complete paperwork required, sometimes using a tablet
• Communicate regularly with the customer during uplift & delivery
• Helping maintain clean and tidy vehicles, equipment and warehouse

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• A heavy goods driving licence – MR minimum
• A friendly, helpful, honest, and customer first focussed can-do attitude
• Be eager to learn, proactive and embrace change with a high level of professionalism
• Be reliable, hard-working and there for your team mates
• Care about your personal appearance and have a helpful friendly manner
• Be physically fit; lifting and physical exertion is part of the role
