Job summary

Mauri, part of the George Weston Foods Group, is seeking an Intake Operator to coordinate grain and meal receivals by road and rail at our Sydney site. You will handle sampling, testing, inventory, and SAP transactions while supporting safety and quality standards.

Experience in manufacturing, grain handling, warehousing or logistics is preferred; SAP and Excel skills are important. A forklift licence is highly regarded and rail interface training is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, grain handling, agriculture, warehousing or logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to follow processes and work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
• A current Forklift Licence (highly regarded).
• Completed Rail Interface Training or willing to complete.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing raw material deliveries by truck and rail.
• Coordinating rail interface activities, including ~2–3 train receivals per week.
• Sampling, testing, and assessing incoming grains and meals.
• Monitoring and measuring storage bins and inventory levels.
• Managing grain transfers and silo allocations.
• Operating and monitoring SCADA and PLC-controlled systems.
• Processing receival and inventory transactions through SAP.
• Maintaining accurate records and spreadsheets.
• Working closely with Operations, Quality, Logistics and Maintenance teams.
• Supporting site safety, housekeeping, and food safety standards.
