Job summary

Department of Education Victoria– Mount Duneed VIC is seeking graduates for Range 1 classroom teacher posts as part of the Teacher Graduate Recruitment program. You will develop and deliver teaching programs aligned to the Victorian Curriculum, with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or recognised teaching qualification.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Strong literacy and numeracy teaching skills and classroom management.
• Ability to work under general direction with mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study.
• Teach an area of the curriculum for a year level, aligning with the Victorian Curriculum.
• Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas.
• Implement strategies to achieve targets in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain class attendance records and track student progress.
• Work with a mentor to participate in professional development planning.
• Support co-curricular programs and contribute to school priorities.
