Our Subterranean Ecology Team are based in our Perth office and are experts in invertebrate ecology and taxonomy (subterranean and SRE), hydrogeology, biostatistics, and environmental impact assessment. The team have a comprehensive pipeline of exciting projects with key clients in the mining and resources sector. The team also have spacious, and modern laboratory facilities, with of state‑of‑the‑art microscopy equipment and imaging software.

What does a Graduate Subterranean Ecologist do?
- Undertake field surveys (subterranean fauna and short range endemic invertebrates) to a range of remote and diverse environments across Western Australia (and potentially interstate).
- Analyse ecological data and prepare clear, concise technical reports.
- Conduct laboratory work (microscopy‑based lab work) including processing and identification of invertebrate groups.
- Liaise with technical and subject matter experts.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and tender documents.
- Receive appropriate mentoring to develop your technical skills.
- Involves significant laboratory work, complemented by a substantial amount of fieldwork.

About you:
- You’ll need a degree in Ecology, Environmental or Marine Science
- An interest in microscopy or experience with microscopy is desirable
- Passion for learning and problem‑solving
- Eligible to work in Australia
- Currently in final year of degree or 1‑2 years of experience
- Hold a valid driver’s licence
- Your personal attributes are just as important. Demonstrate your: Ability to work in teams and collaborate on projects
