Our Subterranean Ecology Team are based in our Perth office and are experts in invertebrate ecology and taxonomy (subterranean and SRE), hydrogeology, biostatistics, and environmental impact assessment. The team have a comprehensive pipeline of exciting projects with key clients in the mining and resources sector. What does a Graduate Subterranean Ecologist do?

• Undertake field surveys (subterranean fauna and short range endemic invertebrates) to a range of remote and diverse environments across Western Australia (and potentially interstate).
• Analyse ecological data and prepare clear, concise technical reports.
• Conduct laboratory work (microscopy‑based lab work) including processing and identification of invertebrate groups.
• Liaise with technical and subject matter experts.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, and tender documents.
• Receive appropriate mentoring to develop your technical skills.
• Involves significant laboratory work, complemented by a substantial amount of fieldwork.
