Job summary

Egis Brisbane is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join the Rail Systems team for the 2027 intake. You will contribute to real projects from your first week, supporting software creation and project delivery for clients in Australia.

Ideal applicants are graduating in Feb 2027 with an engineering degree and have a keen interest in rail, systems engineering, and 24/7 operations support. Parental leave and flexible work practices are highlighted benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduating prior to commencing full-time work in February 2027.
• Tertiary degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering or similar.
• Available to start February 2027.
• Relevant work rights to live and work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with rail systems specialists to deliver projects.
• Solve real engineering problems and support analysis and modelling activities.
• Learn industry standards, quality controls and regulatory requirements.
• Develop client relationships and support production systems when needed.
• Contribute to 24/7 railway operations support and on-call tasks.
