Job summary

The Australian National Audit Office is seeking motivated graduates to join its graduate program in Canberra. You’ll engage in varied work that supports accountability and integrity across the public sector, while gaining a broad view of how departments operate.

Participants benefit from extensive learning and development, mobility across teams, and relocation assistance to Canberra if you live interstate, with strong support through security clearance processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-equivalent or higher-level university degree completed within the past seven years, or in final year of study.

Responsibilities

  • Ask questions, follow your curiosity and help shape public sector accountability across the public sector. Our graduate program is designed to help you grow, excel and lead as you make a real impact.
  • You could work in one of our many vital teams — and wherever you land, you’ll play a key role in driving meaningful change and improving outcomes in the public sector.
  • As an ANAO grad, you might join our… financial audit teams, IT audit and data analysis teams, performance and performance statement audit teams, or corporate teams. You’ll GROW, EXCEL and LEAD across activities and learn across the organisation.

  • … financial audit teams: GROW your financial auditing and analysis skills, EXCELacross a wide and unique public sector client base, LEAD the charge to keep public sector expenditure transparent.
  • … IT audit and data analysis teams: GROW your understanding of what good IT governance looks like, EXCEL as you’re mentored by like-minded experts, LEAD the use of data as you work as an internal data consultant across the ANAO.
  • … performance and performance statement audit teams: GROWyour understanding of good public sector governance, EXCEL at researching for different audit topics that require different specialist knowledge, LEAD engagements with people from across the public service, at all levels.
  • … corporate teams: GROWyour understanding of how corporate services enable public sector functions, EXCEL in your chosen professional field, LEAD change across our organisation and transform the way the office works.

Eligibility

To be eligible for our graduate program, you must:

  • have completed a bachelor equivalent or higher-level university degree within the past seven years, or be in your final year of study.
  • be anAustralian citizen who is willing to undertake a security clearance process
  • be prepared to relocate to Canberra for your employment.

We’ll support you every step of the way – including guidance through the security clearance process and relocation assistance with your move to Canberra if you live interstate.
