Job summary

The Clean Energy Regulator invites graduates to join its 12-month Graduate Development Program in Canberra. Participants will rotate through policy, regulation and data analysis, with mentoring and a guaranteed position on completion.

It is open to recent graduates from relevant disciplines who are willing to relocate and obtain security clearance. Applicants should have completed an undergraduate degree or higher in the last three years, a strong academic record, and Australian citizenship.

Qualifications

• Completed undergraduate degree or higher in the last three years, or in final year of study (to be completed by January 2028).
• Maintained a credit (or equivalent) average throughout your degree.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Baseline security clearance.
• Willingness to relocate to Canberra; relocation assistance offered.

About the Graduate Development Program

The Clean Energy Regulator Graduate Development Program will provide graduates with the opportunity to develop a well-rounded knowledge of the work of the agency, gain experience in the public sector and foster an understanding of Australia’s biggest policy developments.

Participants of the 2028 Graduate Program will experience:

• 3 rotations over an 11-month program, commencing February 2028
• an intensive and engaging development program
• a calendar of learning and development, networking events and activities
• a mentor program to assist you throughout the process
• a guaranteed position on successful completion of the program

To be eligible for this program, you will need to:

• have completed an undergraduate degree or higher in the last three years (2025 onwards), or be in your last year of study (to be completed by January 2028)
• have maintained a credit (or equivalent) average throughout your degree.
• be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Baseline level.
• be willing to relocate to Canberra (relocation assistance will be offered to successful candidates).

• Mathematics, statistics, data science, and other related disciplines
