Job summary

The City of Gold Coast is offering a full-time Graduate Academy for 12 months to unlock your potential with hands-on experience across waterway health projects. Starting February 2027, graduates will contribute to monitoring, planning and on‑ground delivery while gaining professional development and mentoring within the Environment, Heritage and Resilience Department.

This role requires a recognised bachelor’s or postgraduate degree and full working rights in Australia, with a 9‑day fortnight

Qualifications

• Recognised bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification completed within the last two years or be completing prior to February 2027.
• Must have full working rights in Australia and be able to work full‑time.
• Interest in waterway health and environmental science fields.
• Commitment to growth and learning within a structured Graduate Academy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring, protecting and restoring the Gold Coast waterways.
• Contribute to waterway health assessments, catchment planning and community programs.
• Engage with stakeholders and support project delivery across environmental initiatives.
