Job summary

Fresenius Kabi Australia is seeking a ambitious Graduate Biomedical Engineer to join our Technical Services team in Seven Hills, with a field-based role across Australia. You will repair, test and calibrate infusion, transfusion and related devices in hospital settings, report findings, and provide technical support to customers and colleagues.

Ideal candidates hold a Biomedical Engineering degree (or related) and a current driver’s license, and are ready to travel interstate and work flexible

• Electrical/ electronics qualification with hands-on experience is acceptable.
• Willingness to travel interstate and work outside standard hours.

About the role:

Due to an expanding portfolio, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Graduate Biomedical Engineer to join our team based in Seven Hills and working in a Field Based role within our Technical Services Department.

The primary responsibility of the Graduate Biomedical Engineer is supporting and growing the Fresenius Kabi Medical Device business in the field, through developing relationships with customers and providing a superior customer service experience. The successful graduate will be responsible for repairing, testing and calibrating Infusion, Transfusion and Auto-transfusion Medical Devices, within both Public and Private healthcare facilities across Australia.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Repairing, testing and calibrating Fresenius Kabi medical devices both in a workshop environment and with significant time on-site in hospitals around Australia
• Completing required reports within designated timeframes
• Providing technical support for Medical Technology colleagues and external customers, including Biomedical Departments and Service Contractors, in relation to technical components and fault-finding procedures
• Complementing Sales and Marketing relationships with customers and advocating a "superior customer service experience" to external customers

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Advanced Certificate (minimum) in Electronics or related field
• Experience in a technical customer support or field service engineer role would also be deemed suitable.
• A proactive, responsible, and cooperative team player with good time management skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• A current Australian Driver's license and ability to travel interstate and work outside of standard office hours

NB: This role will ideally suit a proactive graduate looking to start their career in the healthcare industry. As this role requires you to work in public and private hospitals, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check and provide evidence of required vaccinations.
