Job summary

Department of Finance in Canberra is seeking an APS6 GovTEAMS Test Analyst to ensure the quality, reliability and continuous improvement of GovTEAMS across the Australian Government. You will work with business stakeholders, technical specialists, vendors and product owners to validate enhancements, support releases and ensure solutions meet user, security and accessibility requirements.

The role combines hands‑on testing with stakeholder engagement and requirements validation, offering

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts and test data to support platform enhancements and releases.
Conduct functional, integration, system, regression and user acceptance testing activities.
Validate that platform changes meet business requirements, functional specifications and user expectations.
Identify, document, manage and track defects through to resolution.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and coordinate stakeholder participation.
Review business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure they are clear, complete and testable.
Translate requirements into effective test scenarios and test cases.
Support release planning, deployment validation and post‑implementation review activities.
Prepare testing reports, defect summaries and release readiness assessments.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, quality assurance practices and service delivery outcomes.
Maintain testing documentation and ensure compliance with governance, accessibility, privacy, cybersecurity and record‑keeping requirements.
