Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst for AI training projects. You will review policies, controls, and procedures, evaluating SOC 2/ISO 27001/NIST compliance and risk mappings.

You will generate data for AI systems and help ensure governance considerations are embedded in AI reasoning. This remote hourly contract offers flexible hours (10–40 hours/week) and requires 2+ years in GRC with a sharp eye for detail and strong written communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in GRC, compliance, or risk management.
• Solid working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks.
• Comfortable reading, interpreting, and critiquing policy and audit documentation.
• Precise, detail-oriented, and strong in written reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze security policies, controls, and procedures for accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate compliance scenarios across SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST.

We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI — and we need real GRC practitioners to make it happen. As a GRC Analyst on this project, your hands‑on experience with compliance frameworks, risk management, and security policy will directly shape how AI systems understand and reason about governance and risk. This isn't a traditional compliance role. You'll be working at the frontier of AI development, helping evaluate and validate the kinds of complex, real‑world scenarios that only seasoned practitioners truly understand.
