Reporting to the Senior Governance Officer you will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Governance service including the formal Council meeting process and direct Councillor support. You will also be responsible for coordinating Citizenship Ceremonies that are held throughout the year, with out‑of‑business‑hours attendance required.
This role is temporary parental leave cover (full‑time) with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $76.4K – $87.1K (Band 5) plus superannuation.
We’re looking for someone who can build strong working relationships and gain cooperation from a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external. The ideal candidate will have a sharp awareness of deadlines and accountability and be an excellent communicator, confident in both written and verbal formats. They should thrive in a team environment while also being self‑driven and professional. Attention to detail is key, as is the ability to take initiative and maintain integrity in all aspects of their work. We’re also seeking someone who can effectively liaise with counterparts across organisations to network and collaboratively solve problems.
