As the Governance, Internal Security and Risk Advisor, you will provide specialist advice and operational support across OVIC’s risk and governance frameworks in relation to internal security arrangements (personnel, physical, information and ICT) and enterprise risk management.
Role Description
The Governance, Internal Security and Risk Advisor provides specialist advice and operational support across OVIC's risk and governance frameworks in relation to internal security arrangements (personnel, physical, information and ICT) and enterprise risk management.
At the VPS Grade 4 level the Governance, Internal Security and Risk Advisor is responsible for the development of OVIC's annual governance and internal audit programs of work, including monitoring and reporting. The role provides expert advice in the operational implementation of OVIC's strategic andoperational risk management frameworks, drafts and maintains risk assessments and leads the development of internal policy, and its implementation, to ensure OVIC's governance and risk framework remains fit for purpose, compliant with relevant standards and responsive to the agency's evolving risk environment.
The role works as a trusted advisor and supports both the General Manager, Corporate Services and the Senior Manager, Information Security Compliance and Assurance in delivering OVIC's broader governance, internal security and risk strategies.
