Job summary

St John WA in Belmont, WA is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our Patient Safety and Quality team on a permanent full-time basis. This role focuses on compliance, internal assurance, quality management, and regulatory governance within a safety-critical health service.

You will work across privacy, information governance and policy governance, providing practical advice and evidence-based reports to leaders and committees as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in compliance, governance or quality management.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to prepare reports and recommendations.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and engage across stakeholders.
• Experience in regulated environments is desirable.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification or willingness to obtain is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance reviews, internal quality audits and control testing.
• Support Quality Management System and ISO 9001 requirements; CAPA processes.
• Coordinate and support complaints, investigations and reporting.
• Monitor compliance requirements across legal, regulatory and contractual areas.
• Support policy governance, document control and policy maintenance.
• Assist with privacy and information governance matters.
• Analyse trends to identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for leaders and committees.
