Job summary

Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operations in NSW seeks a skilled Gold Room Operator to transform recovered gold into doré bullion with a strong focus on safety and precision. You'll work in a secure, processing-focused environment on a 5:2/4:3 roster, residential in West Wyalong, 10-hour day shifts.

You'll gain exposure to electrowinning, elution, regeneration, smelting and bullion production, building niche expertise within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Gold Room, processing plant or metallurgical environment.
• Exposure to electrowinning, elution, smelting or precious metal recovery processes.
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety, procedural compliance and risk management.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely and securely produce gold doré bullion that contributes directly to site performance and revenue.
• Operate and maintain Gold Room processes including electrowinning, elution, regeneration and smelting activities.
• Maintain rigorous security, reconciliation and documentation standards across all Gold Room activities.
• Support operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and compliance.
• Contribute to a positive team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement and operational discipline.
• Build specialist Gold Room expertise while working within a supportive and collaborative processing team.

As a Gold Room Operator, you’ll play a critical role in one of the most secure and specialised areas of our processing operation, transforming recovered gold into saleable doré bullion while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security and operational excellence.

This is a residential opportunity based in West Wyalong, NSW, offering a family friendly 5:2/4:3 roster working 10 hour day shifts. Whether you’re an experienced Gold Room Operator or a Process Operator looking to develop niche processing expertise, this role provides the opportunity to build highly sought-after skills in a stable, long term operation.

Working alongside an experienced processing team, you’ll gain exposure across electrowinning, elution, regeneration, smelting and bullion production, developing specialist knowledge that can set your career apart.

Based at our Cowal Gold Operations and reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, you’ll:

• Safely and securely produce gold doré bullion that contributes directly to site performance and revenue.
• Operate and maintain Gold Room processes including electrowinning, elution, regeneration and smelting activities.
• Maintain rigorous security, reconciliation and documentation standards across all Gold Room activities.
• Support operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and compliance.
• Contribute to a positive team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement and operational discipline.
• Build specialist Gold Room expertise while working within a supportive and collaborative processing team.
