Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited is seeking a Production Metallurgist for Sunrise Dam, WA, on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster. You will provide technical support to optimise gold production and metallurgical efficiency, coordinating with mining and geology teams.

Responsibilities include lab management, metallurgical accounting, reports, and data for budgets. Tertiary qualifications in metallurgy or chemical engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with various gold processing technologies and unit operations.
• Site-based laboratory exposure is preferred.
• Current WA Driver's Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to optimise gold production and metallurgical efficiency.
• Implement corrective actions and improvements to meet targets.
• Promote safety and environmental practices in all tasks.
• Manage internal/external laboratory test work for plant monitoring.
• Produce timely reports and forecasts on metallurgical performance vs budget.
• Monitor plant performance, recoveries and efficiencies daily.
• Gather data for metallurgical performance reports and budgets.
• Oversee bullion shipments with the Gold Room team.
• Develop and review procedures for lab, gold room and processing tasks.
• Contribute to maintenance of the process plant.
