Job summary

Halcyon Knights seeks an experienced PO3 Engineer to join the Preservation & Maintenance team of a Queensland State Government agency. Based in Nerang, you will contribute to road and bridge infrastructure projects across the Gold Coast region, applying project management, contract administration, and technical support throughout planning, design, construction and maintenance stages.

Qualifications

• A four-year Engineering degree accredited under the Washington Accord.
• Current Australian Class C driver's licence.
• Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
• Own suitable PPE for site work.
• Ability to successfully complete Criminal History Screening.

Responsibilities

• Project manage delivery of road infrastructure projects under guidance of senior staff.
• Administer contracts and provide technical expertise across design, construction and maintenance lifecycle.
• Coordinate resources and processes to support successful project delivery.
• Determine appropriate road and bridge maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Manage road and bridge maintenance activities and tasks.
• Assist with selecting contract processes and administering contracts for compliance.
• Calculate quantities for materials and analyse testing results.
• Identify non-conformances and implement controls during construction.
• Conduct and manage project and construction risk assessments.
• Identify issues and negotiate design brief modifications as required.
• Provide engineering support throughout planning and design processes.
• Ensure value for money and compliance with engineering best practices.
