Cochlear is seeking a Global WHS Manager to shape and lead our worldwide Work Health & Safety strategy, strengthening frameworks that support health, safety and wellbeing for our people globally. The role spans enterprise strategy, governance, risk, assurance, wellbeing and injury management.

You will partner with senior leaders to establish standards, embed safety into decision-making, and translate global strategy into local practice while leading a small team at Cochlear's Macquarie

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
  • Extensive WHS leadership experience in a complex organisation.
  • Experience with 3LOA governance model or equivalent risk framework.
  • Experience in chemical and hazardous materials management and enterprise standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead Cochlear's global WHS strategy, policies and governance frameworks.
  • Lead the global WHS management system, audit plan and assurance activities.
  • Oversee WHS risk management, incident governance and corrective actions.
  • Partner with regional leaders to ensure global standards are implemented locally.
  • Provide reporting to senior leaders on WHS performance and risks.
  • Strengthen WHS capability and accountability across the organisation.
  • Manage workers' compensation risks and return-to-work practices in Australia.
  • Lead a team and global community of WHS experts.
