Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior cybersecurity leader to head the GIS Monitoring & Triage Sydney team. You will guide a rapid, globally coordinated response for analysts focused on the earliest analysis, monitoring, and escalation of security events affecting information and systems.

You will manage US-based staff, drive security controls, and strengthen defenses across multiple domains. The role requires strong communication, strategic execution, and the ability to translate business

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, security operations, IT security.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams.
• Experience with SIEM/EDR/XDR and MITRE ATT&CK.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team responsible for cybersecurity defense across multiple disciplines.
• Leads analysis, deployment and ongoing improvement of proactive security controls to prevent threats.
• Oversees detection strategy with log analysis and telemetry interpretation.
• Leads alert responses and cross‑functional problem‑solving within enterprise risk framework.
• Monitors escalations from Lines of Business and responds promptly.
• Forges partnerships between GIS operations and other Enterprise units for effective collaboration.
• Provides input to SOC Transformation efforts.
• Works under pressure, manages multiple priorities without close supervision.
• Monitors workflow and progress, and provides feedback to management.
• Coordinates with other sites/regions to meet daily analyst goals.
