Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Category Manager to join the Sourcing team at Carole Park, Queensland. You will lead API and Excipient procurement programs, manage PPV budgets, and collaborate with global sites to drive cost reductions and supply security.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in sourcing/procurement and at least 5 years in procurement, with pharma experience preferred. This is a site-based opportunity in Australia with global exposure across Viatris operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sourcing/procurement experience
• Experience in a complex FMCG/pharma environment is desirable
• Strong negotiation, supplier relationship and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Manage annual PPV budget and quarterly PPV forecast for API and Excipient.
• Coordinate with global sourcing team; report PPV results and variances monthly.
• Provide analytical and project management support for launch prep, procurement and cost-reduction activities.
• Research market data on APIs/Excipients and assess pricing impact on business opportunities.
• Lead supplier relationship management for strategic API/Excipient suppliers.
• Collaborate with Finance, Pricing & Contracts, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory Affairs.
