Job summary

G. James Rockhampton Windows and Doors division is seeking a Glass Cutter to join our manufacturing team. The role involves cutting and processing annealed and laminated glass to size in a factory setting, and unloading bulk glass containers.

No previous experience required; full training is provided. You will contribute to quality and timely production, with a stable 38-hour week and secure, permanent employment.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training will be provided.
• Must have a current driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening required.

Responsibilities

• Cut and process annealed and laminated glass to size in a factory environment.
• Unload bulk glass containers and assist with dispatch and orders.

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can build practical skills and a long-term career in manufacturing?

Our Rockhampton Windows and Doors division supplies high-quality aluminium windows and doors to the local residential and commercial construction markets. We have an opportunity for a Glass Cutter to join our friendly and efficient team. This full-time, Monday-to-Friday role involves cutting and processing annealed and laminated glass to size in a factory environment, as well as unloading bulk glass containers. Full training provided.

The Person

We're looking for a motivated and reliable team member. No previous experience is required - full training will be provided. Candidates with transferable skills in the following areas will be highly regarded:

• Glass cutting and processing within a fast-paced production environment - highly desirable


• Safely operating hand tools, lifting equipment, or machinery


• Organising and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines


• Assisting with dispatch and handling incoming and outgoing orders


• Supporting stock management to maintain smooth workflow and accurate inventory


• Maintaining high standards of quality with attention to detail
