Job summary

Jobtailor on the Gold Coast seeks a GIS/LiDAR data professional to process, classify, and validate aerial LiDAR and point cloud data for infrastructure projects. You will extract utilities, model assets, and support QA/QC.

You will work with 3D spatial data, conduct feature extraction, and collaborate with teams to ensure data quality and accurate mapping of power lines, poles, towers, and vegetation.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience with LiDAR / point cloud processing.
• Hands-on experience with point cloud classification and QA/QC.
• Experience working with 3D spatial data.
• Experience with feature extraction from LiDAR data.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data-quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale spatial and 3D datasets for infrastructure and utility projects.

Requirements

• Basic/intermediate GIS knowledge.

• Nice to have: Understanding of conductor/catenary modeling and clearance analysis.
• Nice to have: Experience with PLS-CADD, TerraSolid/TerraScan, or MicroStation.
• Nice to have: Experience with utility asset modeling or powerline mapping.
