Job summary

GHD Bundaberg is seeking graduates for the 2027 Graduate Civil Engineers program. Based in Bundaberg, you'll kickstart your engineering career contributing to civil infrastructure projects across transport, water, and municipal sectors.

You'll learn from experienced professionals while gaining hands-on experience and building a strong foundation for your engineering career within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects across a variety of sectors.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to develop practical, innovative, and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations to gain practical exposure to project delivery and construction activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, environmental, structural, electrical, mechanical, and project management disciplines.

• Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects across a variety of sectors.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to develop practical, innovative, and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations to gain practical exposure to project delivery and construction activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, environmental, structural, electrical, mechanical, and project management disciplines.
• Utilise industry-standard engineering software and digital tools to support project analysis, design, and documentation.
• Support project delivery through design coordination, stakeholder engagement, and technical problem‑solving.
• Develop your understanding of relevant Australian Standards, industry best practices, and engineering design principles.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, local councils, and project teams while contributing to meaningful projects within the region.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, sustainable engineering practices, and innovative approaches to infrastructure delivery.

Start dates and opportunities

Most of our full‑time roles kick off in February 2027, though some teams might have earlier start dates in mid‑2026. Plus, there might also be casual work opportunities throughout your final year of study to give you a head start.
