Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking an Advanced Trainee in Geriatric Medicine to join the teams at Mona Vale and Northern Beaches Hospital. The role provides 24 months of accredited training with rotations through Geriatric Rehabilitation, BRACE, Orthogeriatrics and Acute Geriatrics.

Under supervision you will assess patients, make treatment decisions, perform procedures and maintain medical records while developing expertise in geriatric care in a busy, multidisciplinary

• Qualifications and experience commensurate with the essential requirements for the role.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good organisational and time management capabilities.
• Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
• Willingness to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
• Interest and commitment to further education in geriatrics.
