Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant for Ward 7D on the Royal site. This full-time post offers rotating days and nights, with experience desirable but not essential.

Ward 7D is a 28-bedded geriatric ward delivering care to elderly patients. The role supports hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and coordination with Registered Nurses to ensure compassionate, safe patient care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Assist patients with hygiene and personal care.
• Support mobility and use of mobility aids per care plans.
• Assist with meals, hydration and nutrition as directed.
• Observe patients and report any concerns to the nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in meeting hygiene needs and carry out personal care.
• Provide meals, drinks, and snacks and assist with feeding as required.
• Support mobility/exercise per care plans and safe handling guidelines.
• Monitor fluid intake and document output where required.
• Escort patients to departments and participate in routine ward duties.
• Assist with last offices and general observations for safety.
