Job summary

Ormond Civil Pty Ltd. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to lead piling design and field execution on NSW/ACT projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors, while ensuring safety and quality across piling operations.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree with a geotechnical focus, experience in piling, and proficiency with piling analysis software. You will collaborate with architects, structural engineers and contractors to deliver safe, sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Geotechnical degree with geotechnical specialization or equivalent
• Experience in piling design and construction for civil projects
• Proficiency with piling analysis/design software
• Strong budgeting, scheduling and team leadership
• Excellent communication with cross-functional teams and safety focus

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage piling-related aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement and subcontractor coordination
• Implement quality control measures for piling installations, including inspections and testing
• Provide expert guidance on piling methods, materials and equipment selection
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers and contractors to integrate piling solutions into designs
• Prioritize safety and enforce strict safety protocols on all sites
• Maintain strong stakeholder communication and project reporting
