Job summary

FSG Geotechnics & Foundations is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Brisbane team. The role involves substantial fieldwork initially, with opportunities to transition to analysis and reporting for diverse geotechnical projects across infrastructure, mining and energy sectors.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.
• Full driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and conduct geotechnical investigations with fieldwork and lab testing.
• Perform site investigations and interpret geotechnical data to support reports.
• Assist with analyses for foundations, slope stability, pavement design and earthworks.
• Manage timelines, budgets and resources on projects in line with standards.
• Communicate risks, opportunities and project updates to stakeholders.
• Move from field-based to office-based responsibilities over time, including analysis and reporting.
