Job summary

Rapid Geo Pty Ltd is a geotechnical services company based in Sydney, NSW, seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the team full-time. You will perform a balance of office and field work, manage projects, and produce comprehensive interpretive reports while coordinating with the NATA-accredited CMT laboratory to ensure cohesive testing and reporting outcomes.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, 1+ year of local geotechnical consulting experience, and

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• At least 1+ year of geotechnical consulting experience in Sydney / Australia.
• Track record in project management and undertaking geotechnical investigations.
• Experience in producing fee proposals for various project types and sizes.
• Experience in preparing quality technical and geotechnical reports by current guidelines and legislation, including bearing capacity, excavation stability, detailed geotechnical investigation, vibration monitoring, other related reports, and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Project management and geotechnical investigations for client projects.
• Prepare detailed interpretive geotechnical reports.
• Liaise with laboratory and project managers to ensure test results are communicated to support delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and testing for earthworks, pavements, excavation, road and rail projects.
• Integrate field observations with laboratory results to inform reporting and decisions.
