We are proud of the longstanding relationships we have with our clients and delivery of exceptional services on a global scale.

We have a significant track-record of projects located in Australia, Asia, Africa and South America. With over 100 years of experience and offices globally, we work on projects which are diverse both geographically and technically.

The Role

With an extensive pipeline of upcoming works, we are seeking applications for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Perth team. This is a hands-on role with an even split between field-based site investigations and office-based engineering analysis and design. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to develop your technical and client-facing skills in equal measure.

Reporting to the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, the Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing geotechnical site investigations, undertaking engineering analysis and modelling, and communicating findings directly to clients in the field. You will play a key role in ensuring that a high standard of quality is achieved across investigation, design, and reporting, and that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervision of geotechnical site investigations, including borehole logging, in-situ testing, and field mapping.

  • Compilation and interpretation of field investigation data to develop ground models and engineering design parameters.

  • Preparation of laboratory testing schedules.

  • Slope stability, seepage, and settlement analysis using software including SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, and PLAXIS 3D.

  • Numerical modelling and geotechnical analysis to support design recommendations.

  • Preparation of detailed geotechnical reports and factual/interpretive documentation.

  • Client liaison on site. Explaining engineering concepts, investigation findings, and preliminary recommendations clearly and professionally to non-technical and technical stakeholders.

  • Collaboration with project teams to ensure technical standards and efficiencies are achieved.

Our Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering. A post-graduate qualification will be highly regarded.

  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in geotechnical engineering within the civil and/or mining industry.

  • Hands-on field experience, including site investigation supervision, borehole logging, and ground condition assessment.

  • Working proficiency in SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, PLAXIS 3D, and AutoCAD.

  • A solid understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and slope stability principles.

  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage directly with clients on site and translate technical findings into clear, practical advice.

  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills.

  • A commitment to travel interstate and internationally as required, including extended site visits.
