Job summary

Mapstone Geotechnical Services is seeking a motivated Driller/Offsider for a full-time role based in Brisbane, with sites at Brendale or Logan Village and travel across Queensland.

You will set up and operate drilling rigs, manage equipment, and ensure safety and compliance with inductions and SWMS. The role requires HR license or willingness to obtain, a White Card, and ability to pass a pre-employment medical.

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical and/or sonic drilling.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• HR driver’s licence or willing to obtain.
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to roster across Brisbane sites and remote projects.
• Must pass pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate drilling rigs and secondary equipment.
• Pulling augers, rods and loading/unloading augers from the feeder mechanism.
• Plan for, maintain and source drilling equipment for investigative work as required.
• Ensure compliance with inductions, SWMS, safety documentation.
• Complete safety documentation and follow safe work practices.
• Follow Quality, OHSE, and company policies.
