Job summary

Fortescue is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to provide dedicated geospatial support to stakeholders in Perth, WA. The role will deliver high-quality mapping, spatial analysis, data management and visualization services across projects.

You will work closely with project teams to understand requirements, manage priorities, ensure timely delivery within SLAs, and uphold data quality and governance while exploring opportunities to improve processes and automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years geospatial experience essential.
• Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro essential.
• Experience delivering geospatial services to business clients across disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and focus on quality.
• High-level geospatial data management including auditing and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated geospatial support to Fortescue projects, including map production, visualisations, spatial analysis and data management.
• Produce high-quality maps and spatial data outputs suitable for project requirements, government reporting and external submissions.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely, fit-for-purpose geospatial solutions.
• Manage geospatial requests and priorities, ensuring work is logged and delivered within agreed SLAs and stakeholder timeframes.
• Maintain high standards of spatial data quality through auditing, QA/QC, data cleansing and validation.
• Provide training, knowledge sharing and technical support to business clients and other geospatial team members.
• Adhere to Fortescue’s geospatial procedures, governance and standards, including templates, filing structures and request management processes.
• Stay informed on developments across relevant geospatial software and technologies and identify opportunities to improve geospatial processes, automation and service delivery.
