AngloGold Ashanti Australia invites applications for a Supervisor: Geological Services at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. You will lead a team, manage resources, and ensure safety and QAQC for geology activities on a FIFO roster from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

You will oversee drilling, sample dispatch, and data handling while developing work instructions and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong leadership, OH&S, and SAP/database skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Attained Section 26 certification to lead core yard operations and ensure regulatory safety compliance
• Previous experience in a similar held role – (Leading an on-site team)
• Knowledge of SAP and database systems
• OH&S understanding in the workplace and risk management process
• High Risk Forklift, Front End loader, Heavy Rigid License would be highly regarded
• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, WH&S, and/or Training and Assessment would be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Over-seeing of team members to fulfil the daily/weekly production requirements of the Geological Services department
• Training and mentoring of up to 12
• Arranging of the clearing and rehabilitation of drill sites and access tracks
• Supervise surface drilling duties (AC and RC sampling)
• Complete stocktakes, orders and maintenance requests as required
• Oversee the RC mine grade control sample pick up and dispatch
• Liaise with the Assay Laboratory to problem solve QAQC issues
• Manage the archiving and cataloguing of diamond core, pulps and miscellaneous samples
• Operate computers including geology data entry, PLOD auditing and process forecasting
• Conduct regular safety interactions and Critical Control Checks
• Develop, review and amend work instructions, training guides and procedures
• Complete all tasks in accordance with all relevant procedures and the Duty of care for employees as legislated
• Attend and participate in safety and toolbox meetings, training courses and inductions as required
• Conduct formal risk assessments, JHAs and other tools used to manage risk
