Job summary

DXC Medical Recruitment in Katherine, Northern Territory seeks experienced and Registrar GPs to work with Traditional Owners across nine remote communities. The role focuses on delivering primary health care in a community‑controlled setting with a values‑driven team dedicated to respectful, inclusive care and ongoing education.

Standard business hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with no on‑call outreach, and there is access to a 4WD pool car.

Responsibilities

• Proactively provide primary health care services
• Collaborate with Nurses, Care Managers, Aboriginal health professionals, community-based workers, and Traditional Owners to enhance localised health initiatives
• Support with the screening, surveillance, collection, collation, and reporting of vital health data
• Facilitate the accurate and timely processing of Medicare claims to optimise our Medical Benefit Schedule claims
• Standard business hours 8 am-4:30 pm
• No on-call outreach
• Access to a 4WD pool car
• Negotiable study leave

The Practice

This is a unique opportunity for experienced and Registrar GP’s to work with Traditional Owners in a rich and rewarding region and to make a positive impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents. This community-controlled health organisation provides services to nine individual remote communities in the Eastern Katherine region.
