Job summary

Ensure Recruitment is seeking a General Practitioner I for a busy Melbourne practice. The role offers 75% billings with an hourly guarantee, a large patient base, and flexible hours to suit full-time or part-time arrangements.

You will join a supportive team of 9 doctors and 5 nurses, with opportunities to mentor GP registrars and supervise medical students in an accredited teaching clinic.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and vocational registration with AHPRA.
• Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRRM is required.
• Availability to start ASAP and good team player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care with efficiency (5–6 patients per hour).
• Mentor GP registrars and supervise medical students as part of teaching clinics.
• Work with a supportive team of 9 doctors and 5 nurses to coordinate care.
• Contribute to aged care medicine opportunities when appropriate.

• Excellent earning potential: Current billings of $350-$400 per hour, with potential weekly billings of up to $16,000.
• Established patient demand: Immediate patient base with very high demand for additional appointments.
• Flexible working hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
• Excellent team culture: Work alongside a supportive team of 9 doctors, including 3 GP registrars, and long-standing, knowledgeable staff.
• Teaching opportunities: Accredited training clinic with opportunities to mentor GP registrars and supervise medical students.
• Excellent nursing support:Team of five nurses, including a dedicated chronic disease management nurse / diabetes educator.

Doctors typically see 5-6 patients per hour, with flexibility to tailor appointment numbers to your preferred consulting style.
