Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan and implement care for patients with undifferentiated or complex presentations
• Conduct holistic clinical examinations and develop appropriate management plans
• Manage acute and chronic conditions using evidence based approaches
• Proactively identify and support patients at risk of longterm conditions
• Prescribe and review medications in line with national and practice guidelines
• Provide clear information on treatment plans, medication use and selfcare
• Prioritise and manage urgent or emergency situations effectively
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices and health promotion strategies
• Use sensitive, effective communication to ensure informed consent and patient understanding
• Support patients receiving difficult news
• Adapt communication methods to meet diverse needs and overcome barriers
• Maintain strong communication within the practice and with external partners
• Work within GMC professional standards and scope of practice
• Maintain accurate, high quality clinical records
• Manage workload effectively while maintaining care quality
• Participate in audit, peer review and appraisal processes
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and policy implementation
• Understand safeguarding responsibilities for vulnerable adults and children
• Promote and model inclusive, non discriminatory practice
• Respect patient choice and autonomy
