Job summary

Healthcarelink Recruitment Support Partner seeks experienced locum GP coverage in Alice Springs, Australia. The role runs Monday–Friday 10am–6pm at an Urgent Care Centre, with weekend/public holiday shifts 12pm–4pm. Up to 2 locums across each weekday shift, welcoming a diverse patient base and a supportive team of nurses and admin staff.

Accommodation is secured at Hilton or local serviced apartments. Competence in suturing/gluing is preferred; ALS certificate desirable.

Qualifications

• Must hold Primary Degree; AHPRA registration; immunisations and indemnity.
• References; Medicare provider number; CRC & WWCC if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide locum GP cover for Weekdays 10am–6pm and weekends/PH 12pm–4pm.

  Conditions: This Urgent Care Centre is seeking ongoing locum cover, with up to 2 locum GP's across each weekday shift. The hours are Monday –Friday 10am–6pm paying $1800 per day and then weekends/public holidays from12pm –4pm paying $1500 per day. There is a diverse patient base including Indigenous and non-Indigenous patients, mostly Cat 4 & 5, and with approximately 4 patients per hour. Ideally you will be competent with suturing/gluing and holding the ALS certificate is desirable. You will work within an experienced, welcoming team including another GP weekdays (whilst sole GP on the weekends which is an optional shift), plus nurses and admin support. In terms of equipment, they do provide auroscopes and ophthalmoscopes however they do not store dermatoscopes. Alice Springs, in the heart of Australia’s Red Centre, is a captivating destination that showcases dramatic desert landscapes and deep cultural heritage.
