Job summary

HealthcareLink Trust is seeking a General Practitioner for a permanent, full-time role in Bankstown, NSW. You will provide comprehensive primary care and build strong patient relationships within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The position emphasizes continuity of care, cultural sensitivity, and clinical autonomy, with nursing and administrative support to streamline workflow and enable high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with current Australian registration as a General Practitioner or eligibility to register.
• FRACGP or equivalent fellowship or on a pathway to fellowship; strong general practice skills and clinical judgment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across all ages, including acute presentations, chronic disease management, preventive health, and mental health support.
• Perform routine examinations, diagnostic assessments, and develop tailored management plans with follow-up and referrals.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with practice policies, Medicare and local regulatory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with practice nurses, allied health professionals, and specialists to coordinate holistic care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Engage in patient education, health promotion activities, and culturally sensitive communication with diverse community members.
• Contribute to practice quality improvement, clinical audits, and initiatives that enhance service delivery.
