Job summary

Health Workforce (Australia) is seeking a General Practitioner for a well-established 100% bulk-billing practice in Hervey Bay, Queensland. You will provide comprehensive care across acute and chronic conditions with strong nursing and admin support.

Responsibilities include consultations, disease management, preventative care, immunisations and referrals as needed. Flexible hours, fee arrangements and pathways for supervised training are available.

Qualifications

• Recognised medical qualification (MBBS/MD)
• Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia through AHPRA
• Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM or eligibility for GP training pathway
• Eligibility to obtain Medicare provider number
• Experience in general practice or hospital settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safe, ethical and patient-centred healthcare
• Current professional indemnity insurance and relevant certifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, assessments and clinical examinations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Develop treatment and management plans
• Provide preventative care, screenings and immunisations
• Support chronic disease management with ongoing monitoring
• Deliver women’s, men’s, children’s and older persons’ healthcare
• Assess and manage mental health concerns and create treatment plans
• Arrange investigations, interpret results and coordinate follow-up
• Refer patients to specialists and allied health as needed
• Perform minor procedures within scope and maintain records
• Contribute to clinical governance and patient safety
• Collaborate with nursing and allied health teams to ensure continuity of care
