Job summary

Global Medics Limited is seeking a locum Rural Generalist / General Practitioner with ED skills to support Doomadgee Hospital in rural Queensland. This solo doctor site operates night shifts (20:00–08:00) with ASAP availability through 31 December 2026.

The hospital provides 24-hour acute inpatient and ED care, with 4 inpatient beds, 2 renal chairs and 2 ED beds. Locum rates are 2,500–2,800 AUD per day, with flights and car accommodation included. AHPRA registration is required.

Qualifications

Global Medics is seeking a locum Rural Generalist / General Practitioner with ED skills to support Doomadgee Hospital QLD.

2026 Dates:

• ASAP - 31 Dec (Nightshift 2000-0800 only)
• Please reach out if you have any availability for the rest of 2026, shorter blocks are welcome.

Other Information:

Doomadgee Hospital is a Level 2 remote hospital under the Rural and Remote Clinical Services Capability Framework. The facility provides 24-hour acute inpatient and accident and emergency care. Culturally appropriate care is provided by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers, nursing, medical, administration and operational staff.

• 2 ED beds

The hospital is offering $2,500-$2,800/day with flights, car accommodation provided.

You must have full AHPRA registration.
