An exciting opportunity is available for a GP under moratorium to join a purpose-driven, fully accredited not-for-profit clinic in Woolloongabba. The clinic is located in a MMM1 area, and the organisation has confirmed it may be able to obtain a 19AB exemption for eligible IMGs who would otherwise be restricted from working in the metropolitan area. This provides an opportunity for eligible doctors currently affected by the 10-year moratorium to potentially relocate to Brisbane and continue working in general practice. The clinic provides healthcare to a diverse patient population, with a particular focus on people who experience barriers to accessing healthcare. The service is fully bulk billed, and PHN funding is available to provide pro bono consultations for patients who cannot access Medicare. The clinic also has TIS interpreter services available, with doctors able to arrange interpreters when required.
The clinic is part of a broader not-for-profit organisation providing healthcare, mental health and allied health services.
The multidisciplinary setup allows GPs to make straightforward referrals and provide more comprehensive care to patients.
