Job summary

Corio Village Medical Practice in Geelong is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support doctors and patients across the healthcare journey. You will provide clinical nursing care, assist with examinations, and contribute to delivering patient-centered care in a collaborative team.

You must be registered with AHPRA and have at least 1 year in general practice, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a general practice or primary healthcare setting.
Strong clinical nursing skills and range of nursing interventions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical nursing care to patients, including injections, dressings, and other nursing interventions.
Assist doctors with medical examinations and procedures.
Conduct health assessments, screening tests, and chronic disease management programs.
Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with medical practice protocols.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
