Job summary

Wavelength is seeking a locum Emergency Medicine physician to cover shifts at Moree Hospital, a level 3 facility with a busy ED. You will provide solo onsite care during patient presentations and contribute across ED and Anaesthetics as needed.

SDPR training must be completed prior to starting, with 10 hours dedicated to training before shifts are undertaken; reimbursement is provided for travel and accommodation is available on site.

Conditions: Thursday, 1 October 2026 0700-0700 Friday, 2 October 2026 0700-0700 Saturday, 3 October 2026 0700-0700 Sunday, 4 October 2026 0700-0700 Accommodation provided and travel up to $800 reimbursed (flights or mileage only). SDPR training completion required prior to commencing, please ensure locum is committed to completing the 10hrs for training required before commencing these shifts. Doctors are paid for this time. Moree Hospital is a level 3 facility, with 35-60 ED presentations daily. The Emergency Department has 4 beds and an upright assessment chair, and you'll provide solo onsite care whenever patients are present. The hospital draws on Tamworth as its main referral centre for advanced care. Our VMOs cover a range of specialties and are required to work across multiple clinical areas—for example, ED and Anaesthetics. Your expertise and flexibility will be essential in delivering high-quality care to our diverse patient population. Stay in our onsite self-contained one-bedroom apartments or enjoy a stay at the Albert Motel. Moree is known for its artesian hot springs, friendly locals, and rich cultural history.
