General Postdoctoral Researcher (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for PhD and Masters-level researchers to work with Alignerr - partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your job is to do what you do best: tackle hard, multi-disciplinary problems with rigor and creativity, and in doing so, push the frontier of AI reasoning. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers who want high-impact, intellectually demanding work - on their own schedule.

Who You Are

• Hold a Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a leading university
• Have a strong track record of research, publications, or complex project leadership
• Write and communicate with exceptional clarity, precision, and attention to detail
• Fluent in English - you can explain advanced concepts in ways that are both technically accurate and accessible
• Self-directed and reliable when working independently in an asynchronous environment

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI evaluation systems
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or experience working alongside AI research teams
• Broad cross-disciplinary knowledge spanning multiple STEM fields
