Qualifications

• Hold Specialist Registration with AHPRA or be eligible for registration.
• Minimum 12 months of recent Internal or General Medicine experience.
• Enrolment in the RACP Physician Training Program or equivalent pathway.
• International Medical Graduate status considered via Competent Authority Pathway.
• Commitment to teaching and participation in governance and research.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality inpatient and consultative General Medicine services.
• Lead multidisciplinary ward rounds and coordinate patient care.
• Supervise and teach Basic Physician Trainees, Registrars, and medical students.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.
• Contribute to the on-call roster and education activities.

You Will

• Deliver high-quality inpatient and consultative General Medicine services
• Manage a broad range of acute and complex medical presentations
• Lead multidisciplinary ward rounds and coordinate patient care
• Supervise, mentor and teach Basic Physician Trainees, Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and medical students
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and service development initiatives
• Contribute to the consultant on-call roster
• Play an active role in education, research and the ongoing development of General Medicine services

Requirements

• Hold Specialist Registration with AHPRA, or be eligible for registration
